Content, as a whole, are the pages of your wiki and the material your visitors come to see. There is an old saying among internet professionals — "Content is king." Never forget this.

Adding content is the first step to creating a successful wiki.

Navigation

Navigation is how you, your members, and your wiki visitors find the content they are looking for. The main navigation of your wiki is the top menu bar, side menu bar, breadcrumbs, and the search box. Users can also move from page to page using links in the page itself that leads from one page to another.
Content Management

Wikidot wikis work well for building content-based communities. It's not quite a content management system (yet), but it does work well for this purpose anyway.
Organization

The purpose of organization is to help your wiki users find the content page they are looking for. Good organization helps create good navigation. Wikidot can use tags and categories and templates to help you organize your wiki content.
Backups
A backup of your wiki content can be created using the Backup section of the Site Manager. The backup can include the page source and/or all files, but will not include forum posts or the theme.
