Content Management

Wikidot wikis work well for building content-based communities. It's not quite a content management system (yet), but it does work well for this purpose anyway. This page is about managing content as a whole.

Stubs

Stubs are pages which have little or incomplete content and have been created as a reminder that the page needs to be developed or in hopes that your wiki members will expand it.

In any wiki, stubs tend to pile up quickly. To keep track of them, we suggest using a stub include.

To Do List

A short to-do list at the bottom of a page can make your members aware of what needs to be done on a specific page. There is a to-do module for this purpose. We do not recommend using it yet as there is no record of changes. Instead, just use a bullet list at the end of your page.

To keep track of and list pages which have to-do lists, you can use a to-do include.

Wiki Stats

(Main article : wiki stats)
Wikidot does not have its own stats system. You can use a few third-party tools. The most popular are StatCounter and Google Analytics.

Listing Pages

Pages Module

(Main article: Pages module)
The Pages module can list all wiki pages or a set of pages according to category. The pages module is used to list all the pages on the system:list-all-pages page by default.
