More than just a gaming experience
While many game companies have struggled to break into Web3 and blockchain-based games, VHS Labs has combined its deep knowledge of Web3 with a commitment to gaming principles cherished by the global gaming community; with Human Park, they announce the sequel. Human Park is a decentralized gaming platform designed for the interoperable future. Customizable user avatars can be enhanced with fully interoperable NFT clothing and season-specific icons, centering gameplay around unique player goals and identities. Human Park synthesizes Web3 values - such as the importance of identity ownership – with traditional games by blending vivid details in the world with engaging community play. Access to the game will be free, with optional enhanced game modes accessible through avatars and user-owned NFT handheld devices.
“We built Human Park to become more than just a gaming experience, but a platform for digital property to flourish. It goes beyond a single game or a single goal is the beginning of mixed experiences and unforgettable stories told by our community. In the near future, you will be able to take your Nood – your central avatar in the platform – and discover all kinds of worlds, games and entertainment experiences. We are here to disrupt the space and bring something new to our community,” said Chris Laurent, CEO of Human Park.
Today’s launch of Human Park is accompanied by the release of the first themed release, Season Zero, a retro-cyberpunk world inspired by the often ambiguous relationship between good and evil. In the age of overpriced permission lists that lack any usefulness, Human Park has already made a name for itself by releasing individually designed Noods NFTs to the first cohort of users. OG noodles landed in owners’ wallets on April 20, at no cost to recipients. The secondary market value of the Noods collection has already eclipsed $1 million, according to OpenSea valuations. At a time when NFT sales have plummeted globally. Original Nood holders will also see the reveal of their Obelisksa sort of “loot crate”, containing claimable NFTs with unique values and in-game applications. Although holding an NFT unlocks a number of exclusive opportunities and experiences, many of which are not have not yet been announced, it is not a prerequisite to play the game. Human Park is free and available for everyone to explore and play.
“Noods in Human Park are the next evolutionary step of the NFT PFP projects. We decided to use human-like avatars that are extremely customizable to give our community control over how they express themselves in the expanse We are storytellers at heart, so we are here to empower players to tell their own stories, in this way we believe we will transform the way people engage and express themselves in this new Internet that we are all building,” said Rick Pearce, Creative Director of Specter Studios.
