Tips and tricks for advice on taming animals

  • Taming animals can be time consuming and tedious, so don’t worry if it doesn’t work the first time!
  • Tamed animals aren’t very useful for exploration, so try not to take them on adventures.
  • Tame wolves are good at keeping farms nearby as they will attack mobs coming in to attack.
  • To name a tame animal, use a name tag. You can get a badge by trading with villagers or looking in the chests of any structure generated. Take this off an anvil and put a name on it. Then tap on the animal with the tag and it will have that name on it forever!
