Random Thoughts and Easter Eggs for Stranger Things 4 Episode 6

0

Bob Fox and I are back in the basement for another quick recap of Stranger Things 4, this time we’re covering the PENULTIMATE episode from Part 1 of Stranger Things 4, which is a fancy word for the penultimate episode who always brought the fucking row to the thrones. We certainly didn’t get anything of that level this episode, but we’ll see if the Duffer Brothers bring the heat from the Upside Down into the finale.

On Random Thoughts!

– I would get mad at the people of Hawkins for blindly trusting the words of a sportsman to launch a witch hunt against innocent children. But I’m pretty sure a podunk town like Hawkins literally has witch hunts every two months.

– Another episode at Hawkins Lab, another episode where I want my eyes crushed by Vecna. This scenario better pick up soon because I’m starting to lose patience (nice pun, Clem). My current working theory is that Vecna is Barb because that would be the closest twist we could get to Dark Jar Jar, which is true by the way.

– I can’t believe how much I love Suzie. When they introduced her in Season 3, I thought she was going to be the annoying long-distance girlfriend that makes Dustin give up on guys. However, if you don’t smile during their song Neverending Story to kick everyone’s ass out of the jackpot, you don’t have a soul.

– While we’re talking about losing souls, I don’t know how Suzie’s dad or any family with a family bigger than the McCallisters can function without their souls dying. I’m not even talking financially either. I’m talking about not losing your damn mind. I have two children, 50% of whom behave well at all times. Mormonism may be the way to go because everything they teach you in this religion clearly helps you through the daily mental warfare of parenthood.

– Mandatory take for the last episode of Podfathers so third floor costumes don’t chop us up anymore.

– I hate hate haaaaaate how much I love Steve Harrington now. He did A LOT to make up for his douchebaggery in Season 1 (Sidenote: douchebagger is apparently a word because there’s no red line under it when I type). However, I just can’t forget what he did to my sweet Nancy in Season 1, no matter how many good deeds he does.

I don’t know if we are in the forgiveness phase, the forgetting phase or both past. But finding out that the actor who plays Steve is 30 makes me feel a little better.

– Speaking of Nancy Wheeler, that’s her. Forever and ever.

– I have to shout out to the woman Nancy got it from in Mrs. Wheeler with her awesome new 80s look.

Not to mention the necklace she’s apparently been wearing for years now.

– If you can’t get a cat collar, be sure to get Hawkins’ hottest shirt by joining the waitlist because these things sold out FAST.

– Last episode, Robbie compared Murray’s unlikely fighting skills to Roy Nelson, who I had never heard of since I was a UFC casual. So I decided to include some of his best knockouts in this blog because I thought it was a good comparison and who doesn’t love knockouts?
