Jamie Lynn Spears Breaks Silence on Her Family and Memoir in ‘GMA’ Interview

The mother-of-two also took to the social media platform to speak out about the attacks she suffered from her older sister. In an Instagram video story shared in July, Spears opened up about the accusations of not supporting her brother during the 13 years of guardianship.

“Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a second to bring things up. Um, the only reason I haven’t done this before is I felt like until my sister was able to speak for herself and say what she felt she needed to say publicly, that it wasn’t my place and it wasn’t the right thing to do. But now that she has spoke very clearly and said what she had to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feel I need to say,” Spears said, via the explosion.

“I think it’s overwhelmingly clear that from the day I was born, I have always loved, adored and supported my sister,” the moving video continued. “She’s my fucking big sister before one of those bulls**t. I don’t care if she wants to run off to a rainforest and have a million babies in the middle of nowhere or if she wants come back and dominate the world like she has done so many times before, because I have nothing to gain or lose anyway. This situation does not affect me either, because I am only her sister who does not only cares about his happiness.”

Spears added, “Maybe I didn’t support her the way the public would want with a hashtag on a public platform, but I can assure you I supported my sister long before there was a hashtag, and I’ll support her long after.
