Welcome to the official IGN Wiki Guide and Walkthrough for Mario Golf Super Rush on Nintendo Switch. In this section, we’ll show you how to unlock new courses in the game.
Fortunately, unlocking new courses in Mario Golf is relatively easy. You don’t have to do anything special outside of the game. Let’s take a look at the different options you have for accessing Mario Golf’s six courses.
Unlock courses by playing 18 holes
You have two options to unlock new courses. Both only ask you to do things that you probably would do anyway. Your first option is simply to play 18 holes to a course that you have already unlocked. This will then open the next course on the list.
So, for example, if you just launched the game, you will only have access to Rookie Course and Bonny Greens. If you want to unlock the next course (Ridgerock Lake) all you need to do is play 18 holes at Bonny Greens. Once that’s done, you can play 18 holes at Ridgerock to unlock the Balmy Dunes – see the full list below:
It might not be the most exciting way to get new courses, but it does mean you can open everything up fast. This way you can test all the courses and decide on your favorites.
Unlock courses by Adventure Golf
The other way to unlock new courses is to play Adventure Golf. This story mode will allow you to navigate your way through all the courses while striving to progress from the beginner level to the seasoned pro level.
Each time you switch to a new course in the mode, you will unlock that course for quick play. It will take longer than playing 18 holes on each course, but you will be able to create your own character, which is quite fun:
The mode also helps teach you the mechanics of the game. There’s a lot to dig into, so it’s probably worth browsing before jumping into a standard game anyway.
Whichever route you choose, you’ll soon have access to all six courses and be ready to start testing yourself on the toughest holes Mario Golf: Super Rush has to offer.
