This page has information on how to get the Excalibur Greatsword by finding all 11 tablets in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Perhaps the most famous mythical sword in history, King Arthur’s legendary sword Excalibur can be found by Eivor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but it won’t be easy to obtain.
Throughout the legends, the mighty sword rests in the stone, but you will need more than fate to remove it even if you find its hiding place. In order to claim this two-handed sword, you will have to hunt down 11 mysterious tablets, many of which can only be found in hidden caves known as the Treasures of Great Britain – while other tablets are carried by some of the most fierce fanatics of the Order of the Ancients.
Below you’ll find information and links to track down each tablet, as well as where to find the sword in the stone itself. Although this is an endgame weapon, it is possible to acquire the sword at a power level of around 220 as most of Britain’s treasures are not guarded by enemies. , but it is recommended to be closer to 300 if you are having trouble with the Three Mighty Zealots. everyone keep a tablet.
See the locations of each tablet and the resting place of Excalibur on the map above.

East Anglia’s only tablet can be found on one of the Treasures of Britain sites, in a place called Grime’s Grave. You can find it on the northwest side of East Anglia along the Grantebridgescire border, just above the River Deod. It is the only treasure in Brittany where the tablet is actually hidden under many pots and objects at the bottom of the cave.
See the full walkthrough for Grime’s Grave here.
The first of two tablets that can be found at Cent, on the site of one of the treasures of Great Britain. It can be undertaken at the Cave of Trials in the far eastern part of the region, not far from the road leading to the cliff where there is a highest point.
See the full walkthrough for the Cave of Trials here.
The second of the two tablets that can be found at Cent, it is carried by a member of the Order of the Ancients. The Zealot called Woden carries with a tablet, and his power level of 220 makes him the weakest of the three – but no less dangerous. It often patrols the main roads on the western side of the region, and along the river borders to the north. We recommend that you secure any highlights in the area as they can display his location even before you come in contact with him.
Woden carries a single, two-handed sword, which means he can deal devastating blows with one blow, but is vulnerable to counterattacks as he cannot block as well as other Zealots. Using the Brush with Death skill in particular to capitalize on dodging his attacks and punishing him, or slowing down time with your bow to hit his weak spots and pepper him with arrows can do a quick job of him.
The first of two tablets that can be found in Essex, on the site of one of the treasures of Brittany. This place is known as the old cellar and is located just outside the town of Colcestre on the eastern side of the region, just southeast of the town walls, under a large basin of water.
See the full walkthrough for the Old Cellar here.
The second of the two tablets that can be found in Essex, it is carried by a member of the Order of the Ancients. The Zealot called Heike carries this tablet and its power level is 250, which makes it a difficult foe to cross. He often patrols on horseback the roads of the western and central regions. We recommend that you secure any highlights in the area as they can display his location even before you come into contact with him.
Heikie wears a two-handed sword and shield in combat and will use many combo attacks in a row, or disorient you with ranged flashbangs before throwing javelins. You will have to face it with caution and try to keep it away from roads where other soldiers could help it. Focus on trying to parry his combo attacks in a row to significantly reduce his stun counter.
The first of the two tablets that can be found in Suthexe, on the site of one of the Treasures of Brittany. It may be located inside the Santlache mine near a large water basin on the eastern border between Suthexe and Cent – east of the town of Crawleh.
See the complete walkthrough for the Santlache mine here.
The second of the two tablets that can be found in Suthexe, it is carried by a member of the Order of the Ancients. The Zealot called Hrothgar carries this tablet, and its power level is 280, making him the toughest of the three Zealots you will face. He is known to patrol the southern part of the Suthexe region (not on horseback), in the same part of the region as the other tablet.
Hrothgar only carries a Danish ax, but with it he is able to unleash insanely powerful attacks, many of which cannot be blocked. Due to its lack of defense and the fact that it can ignite its weapon, you will probably want to focus on dodging attacks rather than blocking and risking a parry. Use the Brush With Death skill to slow down the time after his strikes and counter with yours, but don’t spend all of your stamina or you won’t be able to dodge when it counts.
The only tablet that can be found in Snotinghamscire, on the site of one of Britain’s treasures. It may be located inside the Deoraby Spar Cavern at the far north of the border between Snotinghamscire and Eurvicscire, north and a little east of the town of Hemthorpe.
See the complete walkthrough for the Deoraby Spar Cavern here.
The only tablet that can be found at Eurvicscire, on the site of one of the Treasures of Brittany. It may be located inside Wiccan Cave, not far from Britain’s ancient treasure, east of the border with Snotinghamscire, above a large lake on the other side of the Elmet monastery.
See the full walkthrough for Wiccan Cave here.
The first of two tablets that can be found in Hamtunscire, on the site of one of the treasures of Brittany. It can be located inside the Red Lichen Cave just outside the eastern entrance to town and the Wincestre area on its northeast side.
See the full walkthrough for the Red Lichen Cave here.
The second of the two tablets that can be found in Hamtunscire, on the site of one of the treasures of Brittany. It can be located inside a place called Wocig, on the west side of the region, just east of the river Alfon, located not far north of the town of Chepelham, just below a point culminating.
See the complete walkthrough for Wocig here.
Once you’ve found all 11 tablets, it’s time to put them in their place where Excalibur sleeps underground.
Make your way to north-central Hamtunscire where you will find the large ruin called Stonehenge. Not far northwest of this location you will enter a large forest and at the back you will find a large cave entrance near a water basin.
The cave entrance is usually teeming with bears, and since the region level is 340, there’s a good chance the bears will tear you apart before you locate the mighty cave entrance.
Once inside the cave, take the path forward and cross and park your path ignoring for the moment a small path to the left.
Follow the ledges and the white-outlined walls as you go through the long cave, until you come to a giant pit.
Dive into the pit and continue exploring underwater while continuing to advance through a strange open door. After clearing the water, keep going up and through until you come to an impossibly large cave sporting distinct architecture from the first civilization.
This is where you’ll find Excalibur’s resting place, moving forward to find some beams on the right that you can cross to reach the center of this great room. Near an abandoned campsite, a strange two-handed sword rests on a pedestal surrounded by 12 pillars, one of which is already lit by a tablet inside.
You can interact with Excalibur, but you won’t be able to shoot it until you place each of the 11 tablets you found in England in the pillars to light them all.
Once all the pillars are lit, interact with the sword again to get the Legendary Blade, which has the ability to blind opponents and will easily defeat most opponents with just a few hits!
When you want to leave the area, look for the small blue fire pit in front of the chamber to teleport near the cave entrance.
