Welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight! I, @zombiepie, are once again honored to be your host as we look back on the best creative efforts of the Giant Bomb community! Well, I’m not beating around the bush this week, the overturning of Roe v. Wade set back fifty years for women’s reproductive health and rights in the United States. With signs that this Supreme Court decision could signal the detachment from marriage equality, birth control use, etc., it’s understandable that the staff and community of this site are pissed. We all should be. I want to thank the hundreds of you who commented in the community thread for this topic who remained non-insulting and proactive about what to do next. If, however, you were one of the half-dozen assholes who criticized Jan and Jess’s decision to delay Run for the Hills until next weekso, as Jan said, you can leave.
If you attended Friday’s Game Mess Mornings, you might know that site staff work with the ActBlue Abortion Fund to help provide women with healthcare and abortion resources. If you have even a small amount to give, consider doing so. On GameSpot, the site has an even more comprehensive and in-depth article on what everyone can do to fight for reproductive rights in the USA.
In terms of site-related housekeeping, Rorie posted a MASSIVE update on technical site issues, new products and bounty status in the Fire Bomb Chat feed. I forgot to put the link before, but if you haven’t looked yet Dan’s MinnMax interview on his WWE experience and why he’s coming back to Giant Bomb, absolutely listen to it. With all that in mind, let’s move on to the latest edition of the Community Spotlight!
Lots of love to everyone at @ giant bomb – past and present. Thank you for everything now and through the years. I hope you are all having a good weekend and spending time with your loved ones. pic.twitter.com/GR8GnRxcQ4

Peace out, Duders (By: @haychew21)
After last week’s Spotlight, I was asked privately if the Spotlight would avoid featuring blogs or threads in which community members say goodbye to the site. To their surprise, I said “no” and this blog to me is a perfect example of why. It’s normal to see the change on this site and say “I wish you all the best, but I want to move onwithout attacking new staff or others who disagree. This is, for many, a natural reaction to recent events, and you will always have the opportunity to say the same on this site. simply that the door is wide open for you to come back and chat with old friends.
