After meeting with the Ivorian and Senegalese leaders in July, Binance cryptocurrency CEO Changpeng Zhao revealed in a tweet that he recently met with the President of the Central African Republic (CAR). A number of topics mentioned by the 2 were focused on “education, investments and adoption of crypto in the Central African Republic”.

“An extremely vital step” for the CAR

As part of his new effort to drive adoption in Africa, Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of global cryptocurrency alternative Binance recently met with the President of the Central African Republic (CAR) Faustin-Archange Touadéra. The assembly comes just months after CAR became the first African country to conduct an authorized bitcoin tender.

In a Tweeter through which he praises the assembly, the CAR leader described his meeting with Zhao as “an extremely important step” for his country.

Based on Touadera, during the meeting, which he also described as “truly exceptional”, the CEO of Binance shared “some good ideas” based on his experience with the crypto alternative. Touadera added:

Training, investments, the adoption of cryptography in the Central African Republic and the region and the imaginative and prescient Sangoproject, were some of the topics of the assembly. Bigger problems are brewing for what is to come.

In a Tweeter Confirming the meeting, Binance’s CEO said the two had “mentioned training, investments, regulatory frameworks, and crypto adoption.”

Ahead of his new meeting with the CAR chief, Zhao, who previously said he was on a mission to promote adoption in Africa, met with the presidents of Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal. Meanwhile, Binance’s CEO meeting with Touadéra marks the second time Zhao has met the leader of a nation that has legally adopted bitcoin. Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele is the first leader of a bitcoin-embracing country to welcome Binance’s CEO.

In the meantime, regardless of CAR’s continued efforts to boost the adoption of raw Sango coin sales, the variety of tokens on offer was nonetheless less than fifteen million at the time of writing. This means that more than 195 million Sango species out of 210 million still have to be acquired about two weeks after the start of the token sale.
