AgriBazaar, an Agritech platform, has partnered with Rivulis, a global provider of micro-irrigation products and options, to enable farmers registered on its platform to deploy the latter’s drip irrigation programs.
The first part of the partnership would see AgriBazaar facilitate the purchase and installation of Rivulis’ drip irrigation programs for sugarcane growers registered on its platform.
Finally, the company intends to make the program available to all farmers, whose number is currently estimated at more than 3 lakhs on its platform.
“At AgriBazaar, our goal is to increase the prosperity of India’s agricultural sector.” Our distinct and end-to-end portfolio of services aims to support and strengthen the Indian agricultural value chain through the application of expertise.
The collaboration with Rivulis will be essential in our efforts to provide farmers with the best applied pre-harvest science.
“I am confident that this initiative will enable our farmer prospects to achieve higher yields and realize value,” said Amit Mundawala, co-founder and managing director of AgriBazaar.
AgriBazaar will use its remote sensing engine, Agribhumi, to determine the exact condition of farmland and ensure that irrigated water is used evenly. It should assess the needs of individual farmers based primarily on their land topography, soil conditions, crop selection and weather forecasts.
The platform will also provide in-depth analyzes of the condition of the area, including agricultural climate forecasts, vegetation indices and plant progression levels, among other essential components.
“At Rivulis, we look forward to partnering with AgriBazaar and providing farmers with the ability to implement good irrigation practices, regardless of the size of their land,” said Kaushal Jaiswal, managing director of Rivulis India. “We are confident that the collaboration will add significant value to the agricultural ecosystem and contribute to the sustainability and efficiency of Indian agricultural activity.”
